Oracle, SAP products and services, Kronos, Peoplesoft, hardware, licensing, fees, RFP's 
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. MBA preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 7+ years of IT procurement experience, with deep expertise in software negotiations

  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering value through effective use of category management and strategic sourcing frameworks and strategies


  • Highly motivated performer, with a demonstrated ability to influence and lead others while also working independently in a fast-paced work environment

  • Extensive knowledge of IT software and hardware market, including major suppliers, most effective sourcing, negotiating and contracting strategies and current and emerging trends

  • A problem solver, able to apply strategic thinking, analytics, and creativity toward prioritizing and solving complex business issues, factoring in ambiguity and unexpected change

    • Collaborative, able to build and maintain strong relationships inside and outside of the organization

    • Teachable and embracing of best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement; persevering and positive in the face of adversity or challenges

    • Strong written and verbal communicator across various levels within the organization

    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


      • Managing over $120 million in annual spend across the following categories: (a) Software, including maintenance and support; (b) Hardware, including maintenance and support; (c) Telecom; (d) Contract Labor, and (e) Professional Services

      • Leading a team of Procurement Buyers in developing annual category and sourcing plans with internal business unit partners, executing complex competitive bids and negotiations, and managing a supply base of more than 100 vendors and related contracts

      • Aligning the procurement team with business IT unit objectives, and developing the appropriate sourcing strategies and annual sourcing calendar to ensure the company obtains the best overall value for each dollar spent

      • Driving process improvements and innovation across the IT supply base

      • Developing and executing against a set of annual goals and metrics set-out in the annual category plans, including annual cost reduction targets

      • Directly engaging business partners and leading sourcing initiatives for the most complex and impact initiatives in each category – leading the team by example, driving visible results and building the procurement “brand” within the company.

      • Ensuring compliance with the company’s procurement, legal and corporate policies, both across the internal procurement team and within the business units supported

      • Providing broader leadership across Indirect Procurement department, setting an example and leading key strategic procurement initiatives annually on behalf of the department

      • Maintain knowledge of current IT trends, vendor capabilities and changes within the technology landscape for traditional and emerging solutions

      • Required to learn company policies, procedures and safety rules
