Position description
This position reports directly to the IT Manager and supports the networks and computer systems in multiple manufacturing locations. 
Basic Responsibilities
  • Maintain all corporate firewall technology ensuring regular firmware updates are applied and rule base is consistent with industry and vendor standards
  • Administrate corporate network(s) and server(s) for corporate users and devices across multiple locations
  • Oversee annual network penetration testing
  • Maintain cloud-based connectivity and access
  • Ensure all critical systems are correctly backed up and data secured
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning of corporate systems
  • Maintain detailed documentation on network architecture and system security
  • Work with external vendors when necessary to procure services, equipment and software
  • Corporate desktop hardware, application and operating system support
  • Assist in annual department budget process
  • Maintain all operating system upgrades including servers, desktops, WAP’s, routers, switches, firewalls, mobile devices and any other computing equipment as needed
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems including versions 7, 10, 2012, and 2012 R2
  • Knowledge of Windows server best practices
  • Hand’s on extensive working knowledge of AD, VPN, WSUS, Hyper-V, RDS, RAS, DHCP, WDS, Windows print server, and GPO’s
  • Solid working knowledge of VOIP, SIP, PRI, and other telephony technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and apply quickly
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of network administration is required for this position
